1970s Vintage Long Wrap Cable Coat and Hat Knitting Pattern: In traditional Aran cream, the long, slim lines of this coat are emphasized by lines of bulky double cable standing out boldly against a background of reverse stocking stitch. There is a matching pull-on hat.

Size: Coat: to fit bust 32 (34-36-38) inches;
length from top of shoulders 42 1/2 (43- 43 1/2- 44) inches;
sleeve seam 18 inches all sizes.
Hat: To fit average head.

Materials: Coat: 27 (27-28-29) (50 gram, 114 yds) balls Patons Capstan;
Hat: 2 (50 gram) balls Patons Capstan (Aran weight).
Pair each No. 4 mm and 5 mm Beehive or Milward needles.
Needle quoted are Metric; UK sizes are No. 8 and No. 6.
Beehive cable needle.

Tension: 9 sts and 12 rows to 2 inches in stocking stitch on No. 5 mm needles.
